Priya saved my life! For 6 months nobody could tell me what was wrong with me: I had unexplained unmanageable facial pain, pain behind my eyes, headache, I had cheek tremor/shake when I tried to smile, I had feeling that something was running on my face/ eyelids (multiple visits to ER, GP, ENT following CT scans, Ophthalmologist, neurologist following brain MRI). Eventually I went to my dentist and he said I have trigeminal nerve pain potentially caused by TMJ and he recommended to schedule visit with doctor Priya Mistry. She was my last hope to be honest, I was on the edge. She scheduled me in within a day or two based on my severe symptoms. After the initial evaluation I decided to proceed with the treatment immediately. After orthotics arrived, in about one month I started to feel a lot better and pain started to go away as well all other symptoms.
PS: most TMJ are caused by stress, PTSD.
After I got pain free I was able to work on removing stress from my life, I had enough strength to file for divorce from toxic marriage that caused all my health issues.
Listen to yourself and do what is best for you!

My husband and I consulted with Dr. Mistry regarding our daughter's ongoing TMJ dysfunction. She suffers from lockjaw and while other dentists urged jaw surgery, she assured us that this was not needed. We sent Dr. Mistry all of our daughter's medical records and Dr. Mistry was very thorough and advised us of how to find help in our area (NY). She told us about what she does with her patients and showed true concern for our daughter and what she went through. She was very helpful and alleviated our concerns and once Dr. Mistry explained everything, we knew what and who to look for regarding our daughter's lockjaw. If it was not for meeting Dr. Mistry, we would not have known what steps to take to help our daughter. Dr. Mistry is a compassionate and caring practitioner and there should be more like her in the NY area.

Dr. Mistry is a miracle-worker! I’ve struggled with TMD on and off since I was a kid. Most recently, I’d had to take Aleve every day for years to keep the swelling in my jaw down. I was referred to Dr. Mistry and the therapy and appliances helped some but still didn’t get rid of all the pain or the swelling (if I didn’t take Aleve). Then she learned the Occlusal Technique (or something like that) and fixed my bite. BOOM! No. More. Pain!!! Now I can eat without pain and I’m getting to sing comfortably for the first time in a decade!

I have been seeing Dr. Mistry since 2019 to help manage my TMJ disorder and I continue to receive exceptional services. The cranial sacral and oral massage supported me during the worst of my pain and locking jaw, and the orthotics have allowed me to become and remain mostly pain free and halt the progression of the disorder. Thanks to her comprehensive treatment, I have been able to put off jaw surgery and hope to continue to do so for many years to come. Dr. Mistry is extremely knowledgeable, patient-centered, relatable and truly cares about helping as many folks as possible find solutions to and relief from their TMJ disorder, as demonstrated by her wonderful YouTube videos. I am grateful for Dr. Mistry and her staff and enjoy getting to come in and see her for treatment. I highly recommend that people at any point in their journey through TMJ disorder come see Dr. Mistry for her personalized care plan.

I am so thankful to have been referred to Dr. Mistry! She has helped me find relief from my TMD and TMJ pain. When I first came in I had severe jaw, tooth, muscle, eye, neck, and ear pain. I also suffered from daytime and night time clenching, but with the help of regular OMT appointments and adjustments and a specific daytime and nighttime Orthotic it helped me tremendously. I later on had a Tscan done and we were able to measure my bite force and make the correct bite adjustments to give me significant relief with my TMD pain! I am hoping that this will help anyone needing to find relief from TMJ pain.
